January 2026 - Colour and Confidence

January might be a month of grey skies, but our latest meeting was anything but dull! We were delighted to welcome the talented Kirsty Layton, for an evening dedicated to finding our personal glow.

Kirsty, a professional makeup artist with experience ranging from commercials to beautiful weddings, brought a wealth of knowledge to the room. 

We spent the evening diving into the science of colour analysis, learning how the right shades in our clothing and makeup can harmonise with our skin tone, hair, and eyes to make us look (and feel!) more vibrant. She also shared practical advice on makeup application, offering hints and tips that were relevant to all age groups. The session proved to be very popular, with a great deal of engagement from our members. In fact, there were so many questions and discussions that the meeting very nearly ran over its scheduled time!

It was an enjoyable and practical start to our 2026 programme, leaving many of us looking at our own wardrobes and makeup bags with a fresh perspective.
