Each year, rather than give each other gifts for Christmas, we prefer to make a donation to charity. This year we chose Butterfly, a local charity that supports victims of domestic and financial abuse, who asked for our help.
They specifically asked for toiletries as this is what they are low in at the moment.
Toiletries can be for all genders and ages, including children.
Here is a message from Jordan who set up Butterfly:
"I am a domestic violence specialist and I work in a refuge. I set up Butterfly to also be able to support women, men, and children in the community as there isn’t a lot out there. We are a clothing bank, but also a team of support workers who offer support sessions as well as liaising with other agencies involved. We give legal advice and sign post.
Anyone that comes to us we have a criteria to meet to be able to support them. And for them to access the service"
As always our members did not disappoint, despite the pandemic difficulties, we made a considerable donation to the charity - Well done ladies!
