On the first Tuesday of each month a small but enthusiastic group have started meeting for a walk at local beauty spots, ensuring we comply with current Covid guidelines of course!.
The first one in October was a simple circuit of Kings Mill Reservoir. Five members, a baby and a puppy turned up and sauntered round. As we reached the end of the circuit the rain inevitably began so some left and others went for a drink in the coffee shop.
Our second expedition was to Vicar Water at Clipstone. We managed to squeeze it in just before Lockdown 2. This time there were 4 members, with two babies and a puppy. This walk was much longer, despite the burdens being carried by two of the members in their slings (and the pup was also in her bag for a while to give her little legs a rest!). The Fitbit said 2.5 miles, it was certainly good exercise on a lovely day.
