Due to the Covid 19 lockdown, our original planned meeting could not go ahead, so instead, following a little practice run, we had our first ever virtual Zoom meeting.
Neil Pledger, a local photographer and historian, amongst other things, shared with us his fascinating photographs, drawing the observer into a place where lost Mansfield history merges with the modern world, like the amazing photo above. Vivid reminders of what once was, set against rose tinted stories of growing up in the 70's and 80's.
It was brilliant fun and brought back lots of memories for those of us who grew up in Mansfield or have lived here for many years.
