This month 5 members, one baby and two dogs met at Brierley Forest Park for a very cold and very muddy trek along the pathways*. It was so muddy the pram wheels had to be cleared of debris several times to keep them rolling! The area was very busy with groups of walkers, although this may have been due to everyone keeping to the main paths to avoid the worst of the mud. Unfortunately the Café there has closed which means there are no longer any facilities at the site, which is a shame. Let's hope someone takes it over to provide refreshments and toilets once more.
These walks are very enjoyable, it's so good to have a proper chat with a fellow member as you get your daily exercise.
Where shall we go in January and will it be snowy??
