October's meeting was a visit from Joe Martin from the Royal British Legion, he gave an informative and emotional talk on the history of the Royal British Legion and the wonderful work they do. He bought with him some great merchandise that we could help ourselves to. We also made a donation to the Royal British Legion instead of paying him a fee on behalf of the Mansfield Marians WI. #Lestweforget #RoyalBritishLegion
We also had a harvest table and asked our members to bring in harvest produce to sell to raise money for our W.I. Look at this amazing hedgehog loaf and plum and ginger chutney that one member bought!
